Commissions
At the moment I am working almost exclusively with digital art however as you can see my digital work has the same traditional feel as that of my acrylic paintings. I am able to go into more detail with my digital work as that is what the medium allows.
Commissions start at £550 for a painting and £250 for a lino-print. Each print is on archival art quality paper using a 10 colour giclée printer.
I do take commissions for acrylic paintings. The price for these start at £800 for a painting which will be mounted using archival, Daley and Rowney, snow white mount board. The size once your painting is mounted will have the dimensions of 50cm x 40cm to fit into a standard ready made frame.
Below are the commissions I have taken on over the years. Please have a look at my reviews page to see what people think of MollieArt.
The process for my commissions is as follows:
Depending on the subject of the painting, if possible I will come and take numerous photographs — this is included in the price. It helps me get the subject’s true personality which I can capture in the painting.
I am happy to come and do another photo session if we do not get the right photograph first time.
If I cannot get to you, I will need a high-resolution, in-focus photograph from you. I will direct you on the right pose for the painting and talk through image resolution, lighting etc. We might go back and forth a few times until we get the right image.
Once the painting is completed I will send you a digital copy of the final piece to see if you are happy. Then we will discuss size, mounting and framing if required.
This can take around 4–6 weeks but can be done faster if you need it sooner and I am not booked up.
