Digital art

It was around 2019 when I became interested in learning to paint using digital art. I work in exactly the same process as I would using traditional painting methods: drawing first, blocking in the colours, then building up layers of paint. I love how I can correct my mistakes easily, how I can paint anywhere and how I can zoom right into the painting especially on the eyes. I can get that fine detail that brings my paintings to life. My digital paintings are printed as archival giclée prints. I work on an iPad pro 12.9”, using Procreate and an Apple pencil.

Through the use of digital painting I have begun to explore my long held passion for illustration. You will see on this page a few of my illustration pieces that are so very different from my animal portraits. I love how I can move from the animal world that I love so much to working with people and a completely different way of expressing myself. All of my digital work is for sale as giclée prints in my shop.
